-Management of Organisations

Managing a company means understanding the complex relationships between organisational culture, strategy and structure. This is experienced through an integrated management system, which sets out both the organisation´s objectives as well as the personal objectives of each employee. Hereby, the latter has to be consistent with the employee´s competencies. (2 days)

    Depending on the client´s needs this training can be engrossed in follow-up-sessions:
  • Core area 1: Target achievement systems and bonus calculation (1 day)
  • Core area 2: Concordance of internal organisation, office, competencies, job description and employment process, respectively junior staff management (2 days)


The target of this training programme is to understand the organisation in its holistic context; to manage complexity by focusing on the relevant information and to advance the professional development of workshop participants from being experts to becoming strategists.

The follow-up sessions aim to systematically implement the organisation´s business strategy and its objectives, both into the executive´s personal business objectives and respectively into the company´s internal organisation.

    This training programme addresses:
  • Executives and employees in managerial roles of growing organisations that require clear structures and duly implemented strategies to continue and boost the success of the business
  • Executives and employees in managerial roles whose organisation faces challenges of integration after a merger or an acquisition
  • Executives and employees in managerial roles of an organisation who has recently adopted a new business strategy and faces organisational implementation




-Management of People

Management is a profession whose tools and skills can be learned. Firstly, an individual needs to become aware of the roles and responsibilities at manager’s level; secondly, the individual has to familiarise himself with the tools and skills involved; thirdly and integral to the success of a business is the communication of a certain management style to employees and the effective translation into practice.

    This training programme consists of three parts with different areas of focus:
  • Part 1: Job design, target setting, budgeting, appraisal interview, performance review;
    Goal of this part of the training is for the participants to learn about appropriate tools of management and to feel confident to employ these with regards to supporting and challenging their employees; setting individual objectives; and to monitor achievement. (2 days)
  • Part 2: Personal style of working; leading meetings successfully; reporting (control versus delegation)
    The training goal here is for the participants to learn how to organise themselves and others as well as becoming confident in decision-making. (2 days)
  • Part 3: Communication is at the heart of successful leadership. Following: Engrossing of appraisal interviews, change management, emotional change curve, and feedback rules
    The goal of this training part is for the participants to learn how to integrate management structures with organisational communication. (2 days)

-Management of Your Way of Working

Lean self-management signifies the availability of more resources to manage other people. Therefore, successful leadership starts with the individual.
This particular training programme looks in greater detail at the way individuals manage themselves, including time management, prioritising and filing systems.
    This training programme addresses:
  • Executives and employees in managerial roles, especially in entry level positions);
  • Employees about to be promoted to supervisor´s level
  • Staff who works in complex and high-pressure environments

-Management of Your Own Ideas

Having ideas is one thing, to promote them well another. Nowadays the most common and current form to present ideas is by using a power point presentation. However, it is not as simple as it may seem and an invaluable skill to be able to deliver a concise, appealing and convincing presentation.
The training programme dedicated to the management of your own ideas offers a deeper insight into communication methods. This entails the development of a storyline, design, use of graphics and tabs, as well as tips and tricks when using powerpoint for a presentation.

    This training programme addresses:
  • Staff who contribute to decision-making at board level;
  • Staff who would like to use powerpoint in meetings, i.e. sales presentations.
How are the training programmes developed?

The training programmes are characterised by thorough research, solid preparation, focussed execution and systematic feedback analysis. With elegant transitions between various training methods content is always presented in a way that is easily followed. Techniques such as using Metaplan boards, videos and role plays create variation and help to relax the atmosphere. Handouts and folders with work material are provided for all sessions.
An important part of the training is the exchange of experiences and the interaction between the participants. Here, Eva Hofmann takes on skillfully the role of the presenter.
Eva Hofmann is gifted with a refreshing and open character that helps to encourage engagement and to develop a team spirit. Self-evidently all experiences exchanged during the training sessions are handled with the strictest confidence.
Each training programme ends with an evaluation completed by the participants.

    Organisational Issues Regarding All Trainings:

  • All trainings are offered in English and German. In special cases working material can also be provided in Latvian;
  • All trainings are bespoke and agreed with the client to meet the needs. Special wishes can be taken into account;
  • The training is to take place in the office of the client. In special cases, Hofmann Consulting can provide training spaces.
